So, someone read my rather non-edgy post (above) and contacted me to asked if I was a poser? Yes, I do work at Plantronics, and I am genuinely VERY excited about the great new things Plantronics is doing in the gaming space! First the new portal, then the SC2 launch tournament, the Facebook contest where people can win $$ and passes to PAX Prime, PDXLAN event next weekend in Portland ... there's a lot to be excited about!

@odinhelpus

YES! Agreed, much to be excited about. Great job to everyone at Plantronics for their work on this amazing community portal. Your products are great and it looks like your community involvement keeps getting better and better! The fact that you guys are already hosting an event on such a new platform is incredible and I for one can't wait to see what y'all will do in the future! *Gives Gold Star* :3

I love the involvement of Plantronics in the community, it's a great way to get your products known. Although I think that the tournament interface page could be a bit easier to navigate (I have only visited the SC2 tournament portal).

Here are some examples of what I mean by "Easier to navigate":

- From the Home page, I click on Events->Starcraft 2 Tournament. From there I have to click on "Event Site" link at the bottom of the page to Get to the actual event main page, where all the information from the page I just left is repeated. This middle page should be deleted or it's content change. In addition the "Event Page" link is very small. It should be a HUGE button.
- From the tournament page, the space on the left side of the webpage should be reserved for navigation, as it is standard for most websites. The overview should be in the body of the page, at the very top. The left side could then link to registration, brackets, rules, format, prizes, promotions, etc.
- The Tournament format page should include the different stages. The stage pages themselves are very bulky and don't fit most screens. Many options are available to fix this, as a vertical representation instead of horizontal.
- The background image of the page should not simply end if the content of the page is longer (list of players page).
- Add a "Spectator" page where people who are not playing can view updates, games, VODs, live streams, etc.
-Invite some well-known players for the next tournament! If it is free-to-enter, it is great practice for them, and they have a chance of winning cash & prizes!

I strongly recommend these changes as I would love to see plantronics gamecon be active in Starcraft 2, and I think these suggestions could make the site easier to navigate and more appealing. Plus, I actually bought a Gamecon headset, and I absolutly love it

In case you are wondering, I am qualified to make these observations, if anyone wants to know my qualifications, PM me.

Hope this helps!
